I can hardly believe I'm writing this, and about one of my teams!

After years of hard work, hours upon hours spent in the saddle, and a bond built on trust, persistence, and a lot of carrots — we made it. Seasoned rider, Lorelai “Rory” Stevens and her fiery chestnut Hanoverian stallion, PF Critical Acclaim, have officially represented Sweden in the 2024 EquialitySims Olympics in the Show Jumping ring.

This journey has been surreal, from start to finish. Competing at the 1.60m level is no joke — it takes precision, bravery, and total synchronicity between horse and rider. Rory and “Clay” have grown together over the years, from green mistakes to stadium rounds that brought entire arenas to their feet. Being selected to ride under Sweden’s banner while we were living in the beautiful country was an honor in itself, but the story didn’t stop there. In the individual 1.60m show jumping class, Rory and Clay delivered the performance of a lifetime — clean, fast, and with the kind of finesse that judges and fans alike dream of seeing. Their incredible round secured them 2nd place, only fractions behind the gold. That stellar finish, along with consistent rounds across the Olympic week, helped land them 7th place overall on the show jumping leaderboard.

But this wasn't just about individual glory. Their efforts directly contributed to Sweden’s team success. With a powerful and passionate group of equestrian athletes, Sweden closed the 2024 EquialitySims Olympics with an impressive 3rd place in overall show jumping team standings — boasting 14 golds, 6 silvers, and 6 bronzes across the board. To be a part of that legacy — to help bring our flag onto the podium — was nothing short of extraordinary.

There’s so much emotion tied to this experience. To every barn mate, trainer, vet, groom, and fellow Sims 3 equestrian who’s cheered us on from the sidelines or stuck it out in the digital dust with us — thank you. None of this would be possible without this amazing community.

As for what’s next? PF Critical Acclaim is getting plenty of rest (and extra apples), and Rory is already mapping out what’s ahead. But no matter where the road leads, one thing’s for sure: representing Sweden at the 2024 EquialitySims Olympics will remain one of the proudest milestones in their careers.

Until the next jump —

Thank you so much, Noël! We had a great time, it's so beautiful in Paris. Thankfully after this we decided to move to France so we can go whenever we want!
